Since NGP’s launching, different Non-Government and Civic Organizations of Umingan and other towns of the district expressed their intention to join and take part in the National Greening Program and be an instrument in healing Mother Earth. A series of Tree Planting activities were conducted at the identified sites at Barangay Annam, Umingan, Pangasinan. From High School students coming from the different schools of Umingan to the Bikers Club, Tricycle drivers, Barangay officials and even the Philippine Army. And just recently, the Local Government Unit employees together with the Municipal Mayor Eldred P. Tumbocon joined hands in planting trees.
The National Greening Program is a joint endeavor of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Agrarian Reform and Department of Agriculture with DENR as its anchor.
