In the continuing support for the National Greening Program
of the National Government and as part of the Six-Point Program of Governance
of the Local Government under the Environment Protection Program, the Local
Government Unit of Umingan held a tree planting activity as a way of
celebrating Mayor ELDRED P. TUMBOCON’s
birthday. As a way of helping Mother
Earth,the chosen venue was at one of the Small Water Impounding Projects of the
government. This aims to keep the watersheds protected.
The Local Chief Executive ask for the cooperation of every
department, and each department was given a designated area for planting. After
the tree planting ,the group took a brief tour at the boundary of Umingan and
Talogtog, Nueva Ecija. It was Mayor Eldred P. Tumbocon who headed the tour.
Forester Nanding Estrada of DENR CENRO, Sangguniang Bayan
headed by Vice Mayor ALAIN P.RABANG, 81st Infantry Batallion headed
by Capt.Rossel Cabarliza,Local PNP heade by COP Jesus O. Manalo,PICAG,4H Club,
First Lady Mrs Camila M. Tumbocon and the Barangay Council of Diaz headed by
Brgy. Capt. Paquito Obra also joined hands in the said activity.
